AASTeX Template for submissions to AAS Journals (ApJ/AJ/ApJS/ApJL/RN)
In the abstract update the first paragraph of text to this "The American Astronomical Society (AAS) has developed a markup package to assist authors in preparing manuscripts intended for submission to all the AAS-affiliated journals. The journals are the Astrophysical Journal (ApJ), the Astronomical Journal (AJ), ApJ Supplements (ApJS), Letters (ApJL), and Research Notes (RN). The latest LaTeX classfile is AASTeX v6.3 and it can be obtained here. The sample63.tex template uses this classfile to illustrate some of the newer features for submissions to the main Journals. RN authors can used the rnaas.tex template for the shorter Research Notes submissions. The new “RNAAS” style option should be used to suppress the abstract for a Research Note. Authors should consult the extensive guide for all the features in AASTeX v6.3.
Once your manuscript is complete, simply use the "Submit to Journal" option in the Overleaf editor to submit your files directly to the journal for processing. Note that you will still need to log on to the submission site to supply additional meta-data. The editorial office will contact you when your submission has been processed and is ready for further input.

Two Row Academic CV
A two row academic CV template.
This is just a normal two column layout, not paracol like many of my other templates.
It is fairly simple but can accommodate lots of information which can come in handy for academic CVs.
It is relatively classic and basic but still doesn't look like any other template either.
Since it doesn't use paracol, however, getting the black rules (cvrule) to line up beside each other might be difficult, if that's what you want. Usage with perfectly lined up rules wasn't intended, but could be achieved by changing the twocolumn to a normal article using the paracol package.
The colour can be made into grey or whatever you want. It is indicated in the comments where this can be done.
For listing publications, multiple different versions are available (look closely!). You can try out all the alternatives and then stick with what works best for you.

Modern Simple CV
A modern simple (academic) CV template.
With no colour, but a few different tabulars for visualizing your skills and cv events.
The template has no colour, but adding logos to your events will still make it relatively colourful (and thus, not strictly classic, why I called it "modern").
You can play around with different fonts. The places where the changes can be made are indicated by comments.
The fancy font for the name can be taken away, if you don't want it.

This is a gorgeous template for bioRxiv pre-prints.
An example manuscript using it can be found here.
This is an bare bones CV created using altacv.cls (v1.1.5, 1 December 2018), which is based on the style of Marissa Mayer's
CV created by BusinessInsider using enhancv. (You can find a re-created example of that CV using AltaCV here.)
Examples of producing a publication list and referees section is provided on the second page.
Note:Compile with xelatex or lualatex if you're using the academicons option.

Here we present a great tips sheet produced by Dave Richeson; it's pre-loaded in Overleaf so you can see how the commands work instantly.
Simply click on the button above to open a version in Overleaf for editing (and to quickly copy and paste the commands you need!).
